RainTaps Return and Refund Policy

When placing an order with RainTaps, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to this return and refund policy. If you need additional information on the policy for any beer gift or other items that we sell, please contact us at ben@raintaps.com before placing your order.

Returns & Exchanges

All physical products we sell—including beer tap umbrellas, bottle openers, tap handles, and other beer gifts—may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the original delivery date.

  • Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unaltered, and in its original condition and packaging.

  • Proof of Purchase: The original receipt or order confirmation is required for all returns and exchanges.

  • Exclusions: Items cannot be returned or exchanged after 30 days from delivery (except for eligible gift exchanges as noted below). Please do not send your purchase back to the brewery or third-party manufacturers.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Gift cards

  • Digital downloads and virtual products

  • Clearance/Sale items

Partial Refunds:

In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted (subject to inspection):

  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Gifts

  • Returns for Refund: Items purchased as a gift and accompanied by a gift receipt may be returned within 30 days of delivery. The refund will be issued directly to the original purchaser via their original payment method.

  • Gift Exchanges: Gifts may be exchanged for an item of equal or greater value within six months of the original purchase date. The person exchanging the gift is responsible for paying any difference in item cost. A gift receipt is required for all gift exchanges.

How to Return an Item

Step 1: Request Your Return

Email us at ben@raintaps.com to request a return or exchange. Your email must be timestamped within your eligible 30-day return window. Once approved, we will email you specific return instructions and documentation.

Step 2: Shipping Your Return

Mail your item along with your return approval documentation to:

  • Shipping Costs: You are responsible for paying your own return shipping costs. Shipping costs from the original order are non-refundable.

  • Tracking: If you are shipping an item over $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

In-Person Returns: > In-person returns or exchanges are by appointment only and must be explicitly approved via email. Unapproved drop-offs will not be accepted.

Refunds & Fees

  • Restocking Fee: All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your final refund total.

  • Processing: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notifying you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Refund Timeline: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7 business days.

Late or Missing Refunds:

If you haven’t received your refund after 7 business days, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again.

  2. Contact your credit card company and bank, as processing times can vary before a refund officially posts.

  3. If you have done this and still have not received your refund, contact us at ben@raintaps.com.
